The main responsibilities of this position include developing, implementing and coordinating fund development for new programs to advance the well-being of individuals, families and communities in Southeast Nebraska. This includes making regular legislative contacts, attending speaking engagements, the preparation of public relations materials, and the design and maintenance of the agency website. Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent, AA or BA in marketing preferred. This is a full-time, salaried position and will based out of the Central Office in Humboldt. Head Start:
Southeast Nebraska Community Action Council is now accepting applications for the position of Family Service Advocate for our Head Start program located in Table Rock. Position is full time, 36- 40 hours per week, and will run with the school year approximately nine months out of the year. Primary responsibilities will be to recruit Head Start children, coordinate delivery of services to the children and families, maintain files on all families and assist in the classroom as needed. Minimum qualifications include: high school diploma or equivalent, valid drivers license with a clean driving record, and have basic computer skills. Transportation: SENCA is now accepting applications for the position of Substitute Driver for the Richardson County Transit in Falls City. Primary responsibilities will be to drive the agency van as needed to meet appointments, assist passengers to enter and leave vehicle and assist with packages, be responsible for the safety of passengers and maintain passenger and vehicle records. This position is as needed to cover appointments. Minimum qualifications include: must possess and retain a valid drivers license, submit to pre-employment drug test and random drug & alcohol testing, physically able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
